Fabrice Lemarié

Fabrice holds degrees in private law from the University of Rennes and in maritime law from the University of Brest. He began his career as an associate of Bernard Marguet. He has been a member of the Le Havre Bar since 1999 and a partner since 2004.

He practises in all areas of French maritime law and has extensive experience of disputes relating to carriage of goods by sea, freight forwarding and yachting. His experience also covers civil and commercial litigation, road haulage, including CMR claims, and marine casualties.

He is a member of the French Maritime Law Association (AFDM) and of the Propeller Club of Le Havre.

Clotilde Tabary-Ayrault

Clotilde Tabary-Ayrault joined the firm as a trainee lawyer and became an associate in January 2021.

She graduated from the HEDAC Bar school (Haute École des Avocats Conseils) after obtaining a Master's degree (Master II) in maritime law and port activities from the University of Le Havre.

Bernard Marguet

Founder of the firm · Honorary avocat

Bernard holds a postgraduate diploma (D.E.S.) in private law. He is a graduate of the Business Law Institute of the University of Paris II and a prize-winner of the Faculty. He was admitted to the Bar in 1970 and founded the firm. He is now an honorary avocat (avocat honoraire).

He has recognised experience in all aspects of French maritime law, including carriage, arrest of ships, shipbuilding and marine insurance, as well as commercial disputes, international sales of goods and international arbitration.

Bernard is a member of the French Maritime Law Association and was president of the Propeller Club of the United States. He taught maritime law at the Universities of Le Havre and Toulouse.
